ORDER NOW! Bandcamp-Exclusive Live EP to benefit SIMS Foundation
Parker Woodland has a new live EP coming Friday, Sept. 3. We’re psyched about it, and you can pre-order “Live From LOVE Hill” now! But first: Can we talk about this photo?
I’ll never forget, when this photo came back from the shoot with David Brendan Hall in May, my friend Adrienne Lake said, “You look sad and scared.”
“Yeah,” I said. “I’ve been sad and scared a lot this year.”
I know I’m not alone.
For the times you feel sad, scared, lonely, or just in need of some catharsis, these songs will be there.
Proceeds from the first month of EP sales (9/3-10/1) will benefit The SIMS Foundation and their crucial work providing mental health services to the music community. With COVID surging, we need SIMS more than ever, and they are expanding nationally.
We named the EP “Live from LOVE Hill” because we recorded it there on the hill where the band was born.
I chose other photos to covey the sense of joy and community that Parker Woodland is about, but this one is true too. Musician and industry friends, if you’re struggling, please click “Get Support” on Simsfoundation.org.
I’ll be talking about music and mental health, among others things, this Wednesday 8/18 on @handbasketzine live on their IG. Parker Woodland is also playing online 8/21 w/ For Goodness Sake @campaignnv benefit and 8/24 w/ @musicfirsthandatx. More on the EP between now and 9/3. Stay safe and stay tuned.
