Hi, Parker Woodland friends and fans. We know South by Southwest can be overwhelming. What requires a badge and what doesn’t? What’s free and public and all ages? What will have free drinks and food? What’s in the hubbub of downtown and what’s chill on the edges of town?
TL;DR: Parker Woodland plays 9 shows in 8 days, and almost all are FREE, ALL AGES, & PUBLIC. Most are NOT in the hubbub.
Now, let’s break it down!
• Friday, 3/7: ONE SHOW - Doors 8pm, Parker Woodland 9:30pm, Hole in the Wall, UT CAMPUS area, Howdy Gals Benefit for iAct & RAICES. $15 at the door. 21+ (minors OK w/ parent).
• Saturday, 3/8: TWO FREE, PUBLIC SHOWS in NORTH AUSTIN …
1) 6pm in-store at Love Wheel Records, hosted by Cosmic Clash & SIMS Foundation; music starts at 5pm; Parker Woodland at 6pm. FREE / PUBLIC, all ages, free beer and sparkling water.
2) 9pm set at SxSatellite at Celis Brewery, 10001 Metric Blvd, Austin, TX 78758. FREE / PUBLIC. Kids welcome with parent.
• Sunday, 3/9: ONE SHOW/RECENTLY ADDED - Hotel Vegas! “Party of the year” from 101X Homegrown, Side One Track One & Austin Town Hall. Free, 21+. (PW subbing into the 5pm indoors spot.)
• Wednesday, 3/12: TWO SHOWS …
1) 3:30pm Chicken Ranch Records annual unofficial SXSW day party at Hole in the Wall, UT CAMPUS , free, public & kids welcome w/ parent.
2) SXSW Official Showcase at Low Down Lounge, 12 midnight. EAST 6TH / BADGE REQUIRED. 21+. Outdoors on covered patio, across street from Hotel Vegas.
• Friday, 3/14: TWO SHOWS…
1) Still Austin Whiskey Co., 12:00 noon. 440 St Elmo Rd E, Ste F. FREE, PUBLIC, ALL AGES, free burgers and whiskey. SOUTH AUSTIN NEAR Ben White/Congress.
2) Satellite Art Show, 6:30pm set, 719 Shady Lane. EAST AUSTIN / ALL AGES / FREE / PUBLIC.
• Saturday, 3/15: ONE SHOW - 12 NOON - SXSW Official Showcase at Radio Day Stage in Brush Square Park, DOWNTOWN CONVENTION CENTER area - FREE & OPEN TO PUBLIC. ALL AGES. NO BADGE REQUIRED!
